The trip to Torres del Paine, Patagonia, Chile was phenomenal in so many ways. The accommodations were spectacular, the food excellent and the fall scenery thrown in was a bonus to the already rugged beauty of the Andes.
I’ve wanted to hike the W Trek and visit Torres del Paine for the last 10 years. When I learned about Gritara - I couldn’t say yes fast enough and even convinced my husband, who was new to this type of travel and adventure - to come along.
The transportation was excellent and ran with the precision of a Swiss watch. Accommodations were world class. Cuisine was unique, delicious and plentiful.
Just hiked the W Trail in Patagonia with Gritara. Luxury accommodations, incredible guides, all details handled by Rob! All we had to do was show up & hike 45 miles!
This trip was truly custom and as the name says, a luxury adventure. We will definitely do another trip with Rob and look forward to meeting all the wonderful guests who roll with him.

Where We Go in Patagonia
Chilean Patagonia means Torres del Paine National Park - the Base of the Towers, the French Valley, Grey Glacier and Lake Sarmiento - reached through Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas. Argentine Patagonia adds El Calafate, the Perito Moreno Glacier and the granite spires above El Chalten. We run the full W Trek as a guided small group departure, and we build private versions of the same country for couples and families who would rather travel on their own.
Two Ways to Travel With Us
Small group departures. A fixed date, a set route and a small number of guests, led by guides who live in the region. You share the trail, the table and the long Patagonian evenings with people who booked for the same reasons you did.
Private Patagonia trips. The same guides and the same lodges, on an itinerary written around your dates, your pace and whoever you are bringing. Built for couples, families and small groups of friends who want Patagonia without the group.
